What does a Customer Service Evaluator do?

. Customer Service Evaluators visit, phone or email businesses and pose as a typical customer for the purpose of evaluating standards of customer service.
. Assignments vary but you are generally required to pose as a typical customer who is interested in a product or service.
. After your visit or call you complete a questionnaire. The questionnaire is a mixture of answering Yes/No type questions and comments detailing your experience and how they were dealt with. This information is then used to provide feedback from the perspective of typical customers in order to help companies improve customer experiences.

How long do evaluations take?

There is a huge variety, Walk-in visits can range from 2 minutes to over an hour. A typical store visit can take around 20 minutes. More complex visits or car dealership visits can take 45 minutes or over an hour.
As with the fee the expected length of each visit is provided in advance.

Is Customer Service Evaluation an employment position?

No, Customer Service evaluation is only occasional work. A customer service Evaluator is a self-employed independent contractor. Evaluator are also responsible for their own tax and social insurance payments. Customer Service evaluation is not a "get-rich-quick" scheme. As a Customer Service Evaluator with Consolidated Service Detectives (C.S.D) Market Research & Audit® you could expect to get an average of anywhere from 10 to 45 assignments per year, though Evaluators who do excellent work can expect assignments more regularly.

How much time do I have to complete a shop?

It depends on the evaluation, but Evaluators will be notified of the due date in when assignment is given. However an evaluation should normally be submitted within hours of completion.

How do I get more Customer Service Evaluation work

. Reliable Evaluators get more work.
. If you complete the evaluation shop visit or call when you said you would, and fully complete an accurate and detailed report, then you will receive a high score and be awarded more work

Can I take my spouse, friend or child on my audit assignment?

No. Unless it is a specific requirement of an evaluation shops should be completed unaccompanied. This ensures that the Evaluator and staff member are not distracted from their work, and so an accurate evaluation will be completed.
